Astronomers have detected large quantities of sulphur in this planetary nebula. The gas hydrogen sulphide is responsible for the smell of rotten eggs; hence the nebula's nickname.

The ring nebula

First catalogued more than 200 years ago, the ring nebula was thought to be the classic planetary nebula. Now, however, astonomers know that ring shapes are just one form a planetary nebula can take. At infrared wavelenghts, a beautiful webwork of gaseous petals appears around the main ring nebula structure. This displays the fact that the central star began losing gas long before the formation of the prominent rings.

بوینگ فا-٢٢ اوسپرای در سال ١٩٨٩ اولین بار پرواز خود را انجام داد و او اولین هواپیمایی است که امکان چرخاندن موتور خود را دارد و در سری تولید میشود و برای ارتش عملیات جنگی پرواز میکند. این هواپیما یک مخلوطی از هواپیما و هلیکوپتر است. اين پرنده ميتواند توسط موتورهايي که در جهت عمودي هستند به طور عمودي تيک آف و لندينگ انجام دهد و يا مانند يک بالگرد در هوا معلق بماند.در هنگام پرواز موتورهاي اين پرنده قادر به چرخش هستند و اين پرنده را تبديل به يک هواپيماي جت ميکنند که داراي قابليت پرواز در ارتفاع و سرعت نسبتا زياد مي باشد. اين ويژگيها سبب شده که فا-٢٢ تبديل به يک پرنده ي بي همتا شود و هيچ پرنده ي ديگري جايگزين آن نشود. او در ارتش برای حمل نفرات ، جنگ الکترونیکی و حمایت هلیکوپترهای دیگر مورد استفاده قرار میگیرد.
